Miss Economist (Saloni) is a high schooler in San Jose. She first got interested in economics in her AP World History class and hopes that when she is older she can combine the power of business and her love of philanthropy together. She is an advocate of microfinance (in case you couldn't already tell) and believes that it can transform the world for the better by bringing financial prosperity to those who otherwise would be fettered by the chains of poverty. She dreams of meeting Dr. Muhammad Yunus as he is a role model for her. She has been featured on TV and was personally acknowledged by the First Lady of California.
